Ecstasy and Bi-Polar Disorder

I am presently on Lamictal (a small dose for soft bi-polar) and Clonazepam (.5 mg). The latter is the generic name. I am concerned as to the interaction of these 2 drugs with Ecstasy. Can you help me with any of this?

Expert Answer:

If you have a bipolar disorder, then you should avoid taking MDMA. Clonazepam is a powerful sedative. The person who prescribed that for you must think that you need to be calmed down. MDMA is a stimulant, so the two drugs would work against each other. I advise you not to take MDMA.
